As from 1988 BIS Both Industrial Services act as  agents  for
ADDAX Inc. on the European market.

ADDAX Inc.    in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA,  was the first company in the world to offer the cooling tower industry mass-produced composite intermediate drive shafts made from carbon-fibre reinforced with epoxy resin.

The flexible elements are also made from composite material and are covered with a polyurethane coating.

Motor and gear box hubs, as well as bolts and nuts are from corrosion resistant materials, like 316 stainless steel or Monel.

he composite drive shafts are dynamically balanced and are torsionally dampening

The ADDAX "DuraLite" couplings make an extremely light-weight and corrosion resistant, easy-to-handle drive shaft system for shaft separations up to 6.500mm without the need for intermediate bearings.

ADDAX also suppiy composite drive shafts for vertical (pump) drives and cardan shafts (universal joints) with carbon-fibre reinforced intermediate shafts, e.g. for ships' propulsion systems.
